Unibet sister sites 2023

Unibet is the only betting or casino site owned and operated by Platinum Gaming Limited. As such, we don’t have any Unibet sister sites to show you here. We have, however, suggested some alternative Unibet sister sites, which you’ll find at the top of this page. Failing that, you could look at 32Red, which is related to Unibet through The Kindred Group. In that way, the 32Red sites could be thought of as Unibet sister sites.

Unibet operator – Platinum Gaming Limited

platinum gaming casinos logo

The line between Unibet and Platinum Gaming Limited is paper thin, and you could make an argument that Platinum Gaming is merely a projection of Unibet itself. Everywhere else in the world apart from the UK, Unibet is licenced by a company called Trannel International. Platinum Gaming Limited certainly spawned from Unibet, which has been around since it was founded as a telephone betting service in London in 1997. The company is a multi-award winner, having been named best online poker operator and most socially responsible operator at the International Gaming Awards in 2020. The 2023 fine has taken some of the sparkle off those achievements, though. Elsewhere on the awards front, Unibet took the best mobile casino product and best mobile poker product awards from the EGR Operator Awards show in 2019. Viewed as a standalone business, Unibet (or Platinum Gaming Limited) employs just over 1400 people, is based in Malta, and has revenue of around £750m per year.

You’ll notice that we included the phrase “viewed as a standalone business” in the previous paragraph. That’s because Unibet isn’t really a standalone business anymore. It hasn’t been for a while. In 2016, the ever-growing number of companies and betting entities around Unibet rebranded as The Kindred Group, which includes the likes of Maria Casino, 32Red, Bingo.com and more. As The Kindred Group, the company has recently expanded into the emerging US sports betting market by gaining a licence to offer its services in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The larger Kindred Group employs around twice as many people as Unibet does alone, but the person in charge remains the same – Anders Strom, the same many who founded Unibet in his London apartment all those years ago.

Unibet Sister Sites Welcome Bonuses

One of the reasons that Unibet doesn’t have any sister sites is that Unibet eliminates the need to have sister sites by doing everything under one roof. While the famous green brand will forever be associated with sports betting, the modern Unibet website is also the home of Unibet Bingo, Unibet Casino, Unibet Poker and far more. As such, there are three different welcome promotions available at the site. New players can only pick one of them, though, so they have to decide which aspect of Unibet matters to them the most.

For players who’ve come to Unibet for the most common reason among the site’s sixteen million users, which is to place bets on sports, the welcome promotion is an offer to deposit £50 and play £100. Further details on this one are a little thin on the ground at the Unibet website, but there are no wagering requirements mentioned, so we’re forced to assume that it’s as straightforward as it sounds. It’s a generous enough promotion, but the £50 qualifying deposit is five times higher than the average for a welcome promotion across UK sites. Some players might think of it as a tad too steep.

The Unibet Casino offer is a little more conventional and comes with a lower price of entry. It’s a 100% matched deposit promotion with a maximum of £150 and a minimum qualifying deposit of £10. The wagering requirement for the casino bonus compares very favourably with similar bonuses at other online casinos, as it’s only x25. The average for the UK scene in general is x35.

While there’s a poker bonus available, we can’t shed much light on it. It’s clearly identified as a welcome bonus on the Unibet homepage and specifically refers to itself as a £200 poker bonus, but it doesn’t offer any further information other than the confusing tagline “Qualify for the Unibet Open.” Clicking on the terms and conditions link for the poker welcome bonus leads directly to a registration form, so it seems you don’t get to find out how this bonus works until you’ve signed up, which isn’t really fair. Perhaps it’s an error.

Other Promotions

Much like the welcome bonuses, the other promotions at Unibet are divided up into sub-categories. Perhaps the biggest surprise is that there isn’t much to pick at if you’re a sports bettor. The only additional sports betting promotion listed at the time of our visit to Unibet was the “new and improved bet builder,” and we’re not really convinced that a bet builder is even a promotion. It’s such a common fixture across dozens of sports betting sites now that it’s really more of an expectation.

With Unibet Casino, tournaments and promotions tend to get folded into one, which means some of the “promotions” you’ll see advertised at the site might not be there the next time you pay it a visit. We saw both a special £30,000 Pragmatic Play tournament and a £20,000 Wowpot tournament, for example, but they were time-limited to ten days. When they’re gone, we have little doubt that something else of equivalent value will come along to replace them. If you’re talking live casino games rather than slots, though, you might be pleased to know that it’s happy hour at the blackjack tables every night from 6pm at Unibet. Special cards are dealt during these times, and they come with instant cash wins attached to them.

Speaking in more broad and general terms, Unibet likes to set “missions” for its players, with special rewards attached to them. There’s guaranteed to be a new “mission” every day for bingo players, for example, and there are weekly rewards available within Unibet Casino. Most of the prizes handed out in the casino appear to be free spins or “mystery prizes,” but again, Unibet is a little scant on the details. We’re left in no doubt that Unibet is an iGaming site stuffed full of promotions, but the precise details of those promotions are a little harder to ascertain than they perhaps ought to be.

Top Games at Unibet

In years gone by, the top game at Unibet would be whatever the top sports fixture was at the time of your visit to the site. That was back when Unibet was merely a sports betting site, and the whole iGaming world was much easier to navigate. Time has marched on relentlessly, and while sports are still a big focus at Unibet, there are hundreds of casino games to consider, too. Here are some of the top picks.

Temple Tumble Megaways: This Megaways slot was released by Relax Gaming in 2019 and has been pushed as the top slots game at Unibet almost ever since. It’s quite relaxed by the standards of Megaways slots, with “only” 46,656 ways to win and a solid 6*6 grid rather than a variable one. Speaking of “variable,” Temple Tumble is very volatile, which might mean that the 96.25% RTP doesn’t always feel like 96.25%. This isn’t the most graphically impressive slots game you’re ever going to play, but players get a degree of control over which free spins bonus they play with, and the number of paylines goes up each time the avalanche wins feature lands on another winner.

Jungle Jamboree: This is another Relax Gaming slot, but it’s a far more recent release than Temple Tumble Megaways, having been released in February 2023. It’s also exclusive to Unibet at the moment, so when its exclusivity ends, you might find that it slips down the pecking order. That might not be the worst thing in the world because its combination of high volatility and 94% RTP means it can be vicious to your bankroll. It’s a very pretty animals-and-nature-themed slots game, though, and the way that symbols can split and land as doubled means ten-of-a-kind wins are possible. “Possible” doesn’t mean “likely,” but it could happen. Combine that with the x3 multiplier during free spins, and you could really be in the money.

Gates of Olympus: Of the three top slots games at Unibet, Gates of Olympus is the only one you’re likely to see prominently featured anywhere else. It’s a Pragmatic Play creation from 2021 with a gods and legends theme and uses an innovative “pay anywhere” model, which means you’ll always be paid when there are enough matching symbols on the grid, whether they’re arranged in a line or not. The best feature of this game is its “multiplier orb” symbol, which might appear on any spin – even in the base game – and increase the value of your next win by up to x500. There’s a progressive multiplier in the free spins feature, too, which could push wins as high as x5000. RTP in Gates of Olympus is 95.51%, with high volatility.

Customer Support and Licensing

Finding customer support at Unibet is a pain. First, you need to open the help centre. Then, you need to pick a topic (it doesn’t matter which). You’ll only see the contact options under the “still need help?” heading after looking at an FAQ option. It’s a long-winded way of doing things, and there’s no good reason for it. When you eventually do find the options, they’re comprehensive. Players can speak to Unibet via live chat, email info-uk@unibetsupport.com, or call freephone 0800 329 393 and get help that way instead. In the UK, Unibet is covered by UK Gambling Commission licence 45322, as held by Platinum Gaming Limited. In February 2023, the UKGC performed a regulatory review and found that Platinum Gaming had failed to uphold licence conditions regarding customer identification, customer interaction, and money laundering. The operator was issued with a formal warning, fined £2.94m, and had further conditions added to its licence.

Withdrawal Speed and Support

There are plenty of options listed for withdrawals at Unibet. The obvious bases are covered, so you can use bank transfers and debit cards, but the casino also works with Apple Pay, Neteller and Skrill. Unusually, there isn’t any support for PayPal, but Trustly’s instant banking service is supported. Debit card withdrawals sometimes happen in a few minutes but can also take a full working day. That’s potentially faster than e-wallet transactions, which may take up to twelve hours. Apple Pay might take a few hours, and Trustly might take up to 24 hours. Players who still don’t have their money after three working days are asked to contact customer support.

Final Thoughts on Unibet

We expected to find a few more promotions for sports bettors, but aside from that, we didn’t see a whole lot wrong with Unibet. There might not be any Unibet sister sites (other than those that exist elsewhere on the Kindred Group, like 32Red), but you could argue that there’s no need for such a thing when you could bet on almost anything at Unibet. Customer support information needs to be made much easier to find, but aside from that concern, Unibet represents a quality iGaming experience.

Unibet Sister Sites Player Reviews

Here are the thoughts of your fellow players about Unibet. The reviews are all real, but we’ve paraphrased them to keep them brief.

★★★★
Unibet is a company to stay away from. The odds are way too low to offer any value. There’s no live support and never any bonuses to play with. In my eyes, it’s the worst of the online bookmakers. Balkan, April 23rd 2023. Source – Trustpilot.

★★★★
Don’t go near Unibet; they’re criminals. They accused me of fraud because I won the bets I placed with them. I was asked for all of my ID documents, which I sent, but they still closed my account and refused to return my money. Customer service doesn’t exist, and the way they treat people is disgusting. Cheryl, April 22nd 2023. Source – Trustpilot.

★★★★
I was a big Unibet fan a few years ago, but they’ve stopped paying people their winnings. I asked for a £50 withdrawal a few days ago, and I was asked for a photo of every debit card I’ve had in the past five years. That’s impossible, but it didn’t stop them from closing my account and keeping my money.George, April 21st 2023. Source – Trustpilot.

★★★★
Unibet discriminates against its customers. I was blocked from paying because I apparently failed an automatic affordability check. My credit score is great, and I have lots of spare income. Scammers.Borges, April 19th 2023. Source – Trustpilot.

★★★★
Unibet stole my money. I’ve been waiting for three weeks for a withdrawal now. All the documents I was asked for have been uploaded, but nothing’s happening. They’ll still let me deposit, but they won’t let me withdraw. They’ve scammed me.Meraman, April 17th 2023. Source – Trustpilot.
