Platinum Gaming Limited and the UKGC

As a UK-facing casino network company, Platinum Gaming Limited holds a UK Gambling Commission licence. It’s licence number 45322, and has been in force since July 2016. Unfortunately for Platinum Gaming Limited, the licence isn’t unblemished. In February 2023, the UKGC announced the outcome of a review of the company’s operating licence. During the review, the UKGC identified breaches of licence conditions designed to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. It also found fault in the company’s customer interaction and customer identification policies.

As a result of these failings, Platinum Gaming Limited was handed a formal warning, had further conditions added to its operating licence, and was fined £2.9m. The UK Gambling Commission noted that Platinum Gaming had co-operated with the investigation, and that corrective steps had been taken to resolve the failings as soon as they’d been identified.
