What happened to Golden Lounge
Golden Lounge was a Microgaming-powered online casino that leaned into a Las Vegas theme, offering slots, roulette, blackjack and a Live Casino section with Live Roulette, Live Blackjack and Live Baccarat tables, alongside download and instant-play options. It was run by 32Red Limited out of Gibraltar. It isn’t just this one brand that’s gone quiet: its operator’s entire UK Gambling Commission licence, covering both casino and betting activities, was surrendered on 12 March 2025. Every trading name on that old licence, including the original 32Red itself, is now marked inactive.
Typing the old domain in today redirects to 32red.com, which is still a live, active casino, but it’s important not to assume that’s the same company picking up where Golden Lounge left off. The current 32red.com is run by Platinum Gaming Limited, UKGC account 45322, an entirely separate licensee from the one that operated Golden Lounge. The brand name Golden Lounge itself did not carry over; only the shared “32Red” name survived, under new ownership. 32Red Limited held UK Gambling Commission account 39430 for remote casino and general betting activities from 1 November 2014 until it surrendered the licence on 12 March 2025. Golden Lounge itself dates back further than that licence, having marketed itself as a Vegas-style casino with a large Microgaming game library and a 24/7 player support team in earlier years. None of that history reflects on the current, separately-licensed 32red.com.
