Gamebookers sister sites 2023

Sporting Bet logo

Of all the Gamebookers sister sites, Sporting Bet is the closest in terms of content and status. There are some massive iGaming brands on this platform, including two of the oldest and best-known sports betting companies in the world. Even Bwin can’t compete with Ladbrokes and Coral when it comes to size and prestige, so sites like Sporting Bet and Gamebookers have no chance. That doesn’t mean they’re not worth a look if you’re a dedicated punter, though. You’ll find slightly different odds at each of the sites, so if you want to make sure you’re getting the best deal, you’ll have to check the whole family. Sporting Bet has a little more to offer than Gamebookers, by which we mean LC International Limited has expanded the site in recent years to include a live casino suite, a few hundred slots, and other additions that have made it a more well-rounded place to gamble.

Gala Bingo logo

As if the combination of Ladbrokes and Coral weren’t already enough, the united Ladbrokes Coral group purchased the Gala gaming brands in 2015. That made Gala Bingo an LC International Limited property, putting it among the Gamebookers sister sites. One of the first things that LC International decided to do with its new asset was, surprisingly, remove it from the physical world. The Gala Bingo name and brand are so familiar that some readers may be surprised to find out that their physical Gala Bingo halls closed the best part of a decade ago. That ought to have reduced the status of the Gala Bingo brand, but it appears to have had the opposite effect. Gala Bingo is thriving in its online-only format, with dozens of rooms and new games starting at a rate of several per minute during peak times. It competes with Foxy Bingo for the status of top bingo dog on this platform.

Party Poker logo

There are several dozen places you could go to play online poker. However, there are only a handful of sites that you’re likely to consider if you’re a serious online poker player. Party Poker is one of those sites. It’s not the only viable candidate among the Gamebookers sister sites – Ladbrokes Poker is also highly thought of – but Party Poker is a high-profile, high-status poker site with excellent credentials. It even has its own television channel, albeit one that’s broadcast on the internet rather than terrestrially. Party Poker hosts regular tournaments with massive prize pots and also has an area for teams. You can join Party Poker as a team, or you can come as an individual and form teams at the site. The best players at Party Poker get invited to in-person events at top international venues, so if you think you’ve got the skills, why not prove it at Party Poker?

Foxy Bingo logo

We find it hard to believe that there’s anybody reading this who isn’t already familiar with Foxy Bingo. The fox-fronted bingo brand has been a fixture on British television screens for the best part of two decades, first with its sponsorship of The Jeremy Kyle Show on ITV, and since then with bespoke commercials and a range of other sponsorships. It’s a loud, tongue-in-cheek brand, and it’s one of the best-known Gamebookers sister sites aside from the two that gave LC International Limited its name. Foxy Bingo is stacked with a range of original bingo rooms and big-brand officially-licensed bingo games and has expanded well beyond its original remit by adding a range of other casino favourites. You might not necessarily come to Foxy Bingo because you want to play slots, Slingo or live game shows, but Foxy Bingo provides players with the option to do so anyway.

Ladbrokes.com logo

Anyone who’s ever placed a sporting bet in the UK has surely heard of Ladbrokes. It is, after all, the oldest betting company in the world. You could trace the history of Ladbrokes back to the 19th century if you wanted to, but the version of Ladbrokes we know today took root in 1902. That means it’s more than a century old. That’s something no other UK betting brand can claim, although Coral is getting close. Ladbrokes is one of the most famous names in horse racing with its multiple sponsorships, but it also sponsors events in cricket, darts and snooker. You can bet on all of those sports ad Ladbrokes, plus a whole lot more. In fact, you could ignore sports betting altogether and play at Ladbrokes Poker, Ladbrokes Bingo or Ladbrokes Casino instead. As far as iGaming is concerned, Ladbrokes is a brand that does everything.

Cheeky Bingo logo

We’ve already mentioned that Gala Bingo and Foxy Bingo are among the Gamebookers sister sites. That means Cheeky Bingo has no chance of being the number one site on the LC International Limited platform when it comes to bingo. Some might say that it’s not even in third place because Ladbrokes Bingo is also very popular despite not technically being a standalone brand. If Cheeky Bingo lags behind, though, it’s not for want of trying. It’s a big, bold site with plenty of personality – and plenty of iGaming options, too. While not having quite the same range of options as Foxy Bingo, Cheeky Bingo has a range of Slingo titles to go with its core bingo attractions and also offers slots and instant win games. Several of the bingo rooms at Cheeky Bingo are exclusive to the site, so if you’re after something unique, Cheeky Bingo’s got you covered.

Coral.co.uk logo

Among the Gamebookers sister sites, Coral is second only to Ladbrokes. We’re sure Coral’s founder Joe Coral wouldn’t have been happy with that assessment if he knew about it, but there’s no other way to look at it. Ladbrokes bought Coral in the 1990s, so Ladbrokes is the dominant brand. The question of which of them is a better iGaming site, though, is harder to answer. Coral does everything Ladbrokes does. You can play poker and bingo at Coral just as you can play poker and bingo at Ladbrokes, and Coral Casino is every bit as well-stocked as Ladbrokes Casino. The two sites also cover the same roster of sports. The odds listed at each site are unique, though, so if you’re going to place a bet on something sports related, it makes sense to give both Coral and Ladbrokes a look to make sure you’re getting the best potential return.

Gamebookers operator – LC International Limited

lc international casinos logo

The story of LC International Limited begins with the founding of the business, which became Ladbrokes. That happened in the late 19th century, although it would be more accurate to say that the true Ladbrokes business model didn’t emerge until 1902. Prior to that, the company trained and then raced horses. That’s only the “L” of “LC International,” though. The “C” is Coral, which was founded by Joe Coral in the 1920s. The two companies used to open shops on the same UK streets and battle each other for custom, but that ended in 1998 when Ladbrokes bought Coral lock, stock and barrels. That acquisition created LC International, and the company became a giant of the gaming world. However, it would eventually become even bigger.

Although the name on the UKGC licence that allows Gamebookers to operate in the UK is “LC International Limited,” the true owner of the brand – and of LC International Limited – is Entain plc. That company was created in a merger when GVC Holdings paid £4bn to acquire LC International in 2018. The deal brought LC International Limited – which, by that point, had also bought Gala Bingo, Gala Casino and Gala Spins – together with Sporting Bet and Bwin, making the network even bigger. Today, Entain Plc employs 24,000 people worldwide and posts revenue of almost four billion pounds per year. As huge as it is, it’s set to become even bigger in the near future. BetMGM is an Entain Plc brand and has access to the slowly-emerging American market.

Gamebookers Sister Sites Welcome Bonuses

People don’t come to Gamebookers for its promotions. Most of the Gamebookers sister sites that started as simple bookies have long since turned into modern iGaming sites with all the promotional bells and whistles that you’d expect in the 21st century. Gamebookers hasn’t done that. You won’t get any gifts at all from Gamebookers for joining the site – merely the opportunity to bet on the sport of your choosing from the long list of options. It’s not exactly a warm welcome, but Gamebookers was designed for simplicity rather than comfort.

Other Promotions

Remember a second ago when we said that nobody comes to Gamebookers for its promotions? Feel free to re-read it and then apply it to the rest of the site’s promotional prospects. Gamebookers is serious about delivering the best possible odds to players and covering as many sports as possible, but it doesn’t give any perks. There isn’t even so much as a £5 free bet at Gamebookers – it’s the most no-frills betting site you’re ever likely to come across. If Ladbrokes is the all-singing, all-dancing star of the Gamebookers sister sites family, think of Gamebookers as the old-school bookie.

Top Games at Gamebookers

We don’t want to run the risk of repeating ourselves once too often in this review, but there’s nothing to bet on at Gamebookers apart from sports. By now, we’re all used to formerly sports-focused sites giving us hundreds of slots, game shows and other distractions to pass the time while we’re waiting on our results coming in. You can go to more or less any of the Gamebookers sister sites if that’s what you’re looking for, but you won’t find any of it at Gamebookers. There are sixteen “mini-games” wedged into a corner of the homepage, but they’re more of a curiosity than an attempt to entertain. Even the fact that it offers virtual sports betting is edgy by Gamebookers’ standards! Of all the sports that it offers odds on, the site affords the most space on its homepage to football. Racing takes second billing, followed in order by tennis and golf.

Licensing and Customer Support

Like all LC International Limited sites, Gamebookers is covered by UK Gambling Commission licence no. 54743. Attached to the licence is a huge £14m settlement fee that the operator paid to the regulator in August 2022 after a regulatory review uncovered evidence that LC International had failed to intervene when customers showed signs of problem gambling and had also failed to identify the source of funds in cases where it should have done. Live chat customer support is available 24/7 at Gamebookers, but email support is also an option. You’ll have to enter the FAQ and decline other options before being given the contact information, though.

Withdrawal Speed and Support

The bad news with Gamebookers is that it isn’t as quick to provide withdrawals as most of the sites on this platform. All withdrawal requests are manually reviewed, and the process can take up to two business days. Curiously, Gamebookers doesn’t publicly disclose the withdrawal and deposit options that it accepts, but it’s understood that the site accepts all UK debit cards plus PayPal as a bare minimum. Further options may be available within the “Cashier” of your account.

Final Thoughts on Gamebookers

The biggest problem Gamebookers has is that the Gamebookers sister sites include two of the world’s biggest sports betting brands. It begs the question of why anyone would bet at Gamebookers when they could use either of those sites instead, and Gamebookers can’t come up with a compelling answer to that question. It has no promotions, slower withdrawals, and no expanded casino section. It’s as minimalistic as minimalistic gets.

Gamebookers Sister Sites Player Reviews

Here are the thoughts of your fellow players about Gamebookers. The reviews are all real, but we’ve paraphrased them to keep them brief.

Oh. Actually, we don’t have any Gamebookers reviews to show you. Not enough reviews of Gamebookers have been posted on major review sites in the past twelve months to give you a fair reflection of how players feel about the site. If you’ve ever played at Gamebookers, leave your thoughts on a review site. Perhaps we’ll pick them up and feature them here.
