Gala Casino sister sites 2023

Foxy Bingo logo

The Foxy brand is perhaps even more well-known than the Gala brand when it comes to iGaming, which means Foxy Bingo is one of the Gala Casino sister sites you’re most likely to have heard of. It’s one of the top performers for LC International Limited and no longer conforms to the basic parameters of a bingo site. That’s not to say that it doesn’t offer bingo games – it does, and it excels at doing so – but to call it a bingo site wouldn’t do it justice. Foxy Bingo is every bit as much of a casino site as Gala Casino is. You might even find there’s some overlap between the slots and games on both sites. Bingo will always be what Foxy Bingo does best, though, and if you’re in the mood to play bingo games that could pay out six figures, Foxy Bingo has options for you.

Party Poker logo

There are plenty of Gala Casino sister sites you could go to if you wanted to play casino games. There are also plenty of Gala Casino sister sites you could go to if you wanted to play bingo games. There aren’t quite so many options if your game of choice is poker. You could go to Ladbrokes Poker or Coral Poker, but if you want a site that genuinely specialises in the card game, you’ll want to choose Party Poker. If you’re going to do so, brush up on your skills first; Party Poker isn’t the best choice to make if you’re totally new to the game. It’s one of the best-known big-money poker sites on the internet and also offers some of the best prize pots. Party Poker is such a big deal that it sponsors the McLaren Formula 1 team, and that’s the kind of sponsorship opportunity that doesn’t come along unless you have very deep pockets. logo

While it’s accurate to say that Ladbrokes is one of the Gala Casino sister sites, it also feels totally wrong. Without Ladbrokes, this entire casino network wouldn’t exist; Ladbrokes created it when it purchased Coral in 1998. In fact, if it weren’t for Ladbrokes, the entire sports betting scene as we know it might not exist. Ladbrokes is the oldest betting company in the world, with a history that can be traced and verified all the way back to 1902. It’s now a giant of the industry, offering not only sports betting but also casino games, Slingo, and such an in-depth range of bingo games and poker rooms that sub-brands and mini-sites have had to be created to house them. If you can’t bet on something at Ladbrokes, it might not be legal in the UK to bet on it at all.

Party Casino logo

The most likely reason that you’re looking for Gala Casino sister sites is that you’re happy with the games and the style of Gala Casino, but you feel you’ve either exhausted every promotion it has to offer or it’s not paying you the way that it used to. In that case, the closest match you’ll find for it on the LC International Limited platform is Party Casino. While it’s one of the Gala Casino sister sites, it’s actually a spin-off of Party Poker. Party Casino does its best to be an all-singing, all-dancing site with a full sportsbook and Vegas-style games. It doesn’t offer poker or bingo, though, so it’s not quite as well-rounded a casino site as Ladbrokes is. From its potentially generous welcome promotion to its daily prizes, Party Casino is a well-proportioned casino that looks after its regular players. logo

Almost everything we said about Ladbrokes above can also be said about Coral, except the whole thing about it being the oldest betting company in the world. It isn’t even all that far from that accolade, though, as Joe Coral opened his first Coral bookmakers in 1926. It won’t be long before the famously blue betting company celebrates its one-hundredth birthday. Like Ladbrokes, Coral sits at the heart of the network of Gala Casino sister sites as one of the central pillars of the platform. Since being bought by its biggest rival in the 1990s, Coral has grown to do everything that Ladbrokes does. Ladbrokes started offering slots and casino games when it moved online, so Coral did the same. Ladbrokes started offering bingo and poker, so Coral did the same. It effectively now plays “follow the leader” with a brand that it used to do battle with, but it’s very good at it nonetheless.

Bwin logo

In Ladbrokes and Coral, LC International Limited has two of the biggest sports betting names in the country. Common sense says that there’s no need for more sports betting brands among the Gala Casino sister sites because the platform already has so much of the market cornered. Common sense doesn’t always apply in the casino world, though, so here’s Bwin. To be fair to LC International Limited, they never asked for Bwin to be added to their network. It came by default when GVC Holdings Limited purchased LC International Limited in 2018, and LC International has done its best to accommodate it. That process has included taking the original Bwin sportsbook and adding casino games and other attractions to it in much the same way it did with Ladbrokes and Coral many years ago. The strategy has worked before, so there’s no reason why it can’t work again.

Foxy Games logo

We know that most of you will have heard of Foxy Games before, but there are far fewer of you who’ve heard of Foxy Games than there are who’ve heard of Foxy Bingo. Foxy Bingo is one of the most famous Gala Casino sister sites. Foxy Games isn’t quite there yet – and that’s despite a concentrated promotional effort when it launched, which included hiring Hollywood star Heather Graham to dress up as “Foxy” and promote the brand in commercials that aired both on television and in cinemas. As a casino site, Foxy Games is a fine alternative to Gala Casino. It has plenty of games, a selection of titles that are exclusive to the site and can’t be played elsewhere, and decent promotions. The thorn in its side is that Foxy Bingo has started offering casino games of its own. When the core brand starts doing everything the satellite brand does, there’s no reason to visit the satellite brand.

Gala Casino operator – LC International Limited

lc international casinos logo

Gala Casino is an extension of the Gala iGaming brand that LC International Limited paid big money to acquire in 2015. It was the biggest move the casino operator had made since the 1990s, but also the last one it made as an independent company. The LC International Limited story starts long before any of that, though. It began with the formation of Ladbrokes, which happened in 1902. For context, that’s just one year after the death of Queen Victoria. Ladbrokes expanded across the British Isles throughout the 20th century, often going head-to-head with rival firm Coral for space on high streets in towns and cities. That period of enmity came to an end in 1998 when Ladbrokes acquired Coral, thus creating LC International Limited. The “LC” in the operator’s name is a reference to the two brands that sit at the core of it.

We’ve already said that LC International Limited reached new heights in 2015 with the acquisition of the Gala brands. Three years after that, LC International Limited was itself bought out by GVC Holdings Plc for a massive £4bn. The LC International Limited name lives on, but the former GVC Holdings renamed itself Entain Plc in 2020, and Entain is the true owner of all the brands on the platform, Gala Casino included. The company employs thousands of people all over the world, but the bulk of its workforce is UK-based. That could change in the future, though – Entain Plc also owns BetMGM and is currently exploring new opportunities in the North American betting market.

Gala Casino Sister Sites Welcome Bonuses

Gala Casino is a “full service” casino site offering slots, traditional casino games, live dealer games and more. Its welcome offer is laid out to give you a little taste of everything it does, with £40 in casino bonus cash plus fifty free spins for all players who join Gala Casino and spend £20 on slots within seven days of joining. The £40 bonus has an x40 wagering requirement attached to it, but winnings derived from free spins come with no strings attached and can be withdrawn instantly.

Other Promotions

As we’ve covered elsewhere on this page, there are two Gala-branded Gala Casino sister sites; Gala Spins and Gala Bingo. Both of them do a little better with their big promotions than Gala Casino does, which may go some way to explaining why this site trails the others when it comes to popularity. The “Gala Rewards” section of Gala Casino offers a “rewards wheel” (accessed by spending £10 on slots), a “Sunday Race” (open to anyone who’s spent £10 or more on slots during the week), and “Top Up Days” (discretionary deposit boosts). The daily wheel is your best shot at getting a substantial reward, as it dishes out cash bonuses and free spins on selected slots.

Top Games at Gala Casino

Like almost every iGaming site on the LC International Limited platform, Gala Casino has a solid bank of slots for players to enjoy. It doesn’t present itself as a slots site, though. Gala Casino fancies itself as an upmarket, luxury casino that’s all about the live dealer experience. That’s why the first titles you’ll see on its homepage are all live dealer games – almost all of which come from Pragmatic Play. Variations of roulette are the casino’s most popular games of all, including Mega Fire Blaze Roulette, Lightning Roulette and Quantum Roulette. There are also live versions of popular games and game shows to consider, too, with Monopoly: Big Baller the pick of the bunch. If this is all just noise to you and you’d rather focus on slots after all, Gala Casino prominently features the entire Age of Gods series of slots from Playtech.

Licensing and Customer Support

As an LC International Limited iGaming site, Gala Casino is covered by UK Gambling Commission licence 54743. It’s not a clean licence. The UKGC charged the operator with breaking licence conditions regarding customer interaction and money laundering prevention in August 2022, and LC International Limited elected to make a voluntary £14m settlement payment rather than proceeding to formal sanctions. Gala Casino customer support is available on live chat and email, but the fastest way to get a response is usually to send a direct message on Twitter or Facebook.

Withdrawal Speed and Support

Visa debit cards approved for “fast funds” receive money faster than any other withdrawal method at Gala Casino, with transactions completed within four hours. E-wallets held with PayPal, Skrill, or MuchBetter are the next best bet, as they receive funds within eight hours, as do Paysafe cards. If you ask for a basic debit card withdrawal, you could face a wait of up to 72 hours. The same goes for Google Pay or Apple Pay withdrawals. Bank transfers are the slowest method of all, with a potential wait of four business days.

Final Thoughts on Gala Casino

We can see the market that Gala Casino is going for, but we’re not convinced that it’s made the best possible attempt to reach it. There’s nothing wrong with the games that Gala Casino offers, but the site’s presentation is a little lacking, as are its long-term promotions. The biggest thing missing is telephone-based customer support, which is something we’d expect to find at any luxury online casino. Gala Casino is fair and can be fun, but it’s not outstanding.

Gala Casino Sister Sites Player Reviews

Here are the thoughts of your fellow players about Gala Casino. The reviews are all real, but we’ve paraphrased them to keep them brief.

Playing at Gala Casino tonight, I got no more than three or four bonus features out of more than 650 spins. I’ve never had a run that bad before. It might have put me off gambling for life.Luke, January 13th 2023. Source Trustpilot.

Gala Casino has punished me for taking a break from gambling. I enjoyed playing here in the past, but when I came back after self-excluding for a while, I found I wasn’t eligible for any promotions. They encourage people to take a break if they need to but punish them for doing so.Steven, January 5th 2023. Source – Trustpilot.

I just played through more than one hundred spins on a game called Gold Cash Free Spins. I didn’t get a single free spin out of it. Unbelievable.Susan, December 26th 2022. Source – Trustpilot.

I can’t find fault with Gala Casino. I’ve been playing at the site for years, and I’ve always found it to be fair. I can’t relate to the people posting negative reviews.Ashleigh, December 23rd 2022. Source – Trustpilot.

I’m shocked at how bad the tournaments are here. I got 320 points for winning £700 on one slot but 400 points for only winning £75 on another. How does that work? I think it’s rigged so you can’t beat their bots.Mr Gittings, December 16th 2022. Source Trustpilot.
