Hopa Casino sister sites 2023

Luckland logo

Luckland might sound like it ought to be a family theme park somewhere on the outskirts of Blackpool, but it’s actually the name of one of the most popular Hopa Casino sister sites. Quite what it’s done to earn the popularity it enjoys is a bit of a mystery, as it’s nowhere near as impressive a casino site as the brightest stars of the AG Communications Limited casino network. However, it has more to offer than the average site on the platform. The (roughly) one thousand slots at Luckland are the casino’s biggest attractions in the eyes of the majority of people who play here, but there are also things to be said in favour of its substantial sportsbook. You’ll also find that there are more promotions to be taken advantage of at Luckland than most Hopa sister sites allow for, so that’s another string to this blue iGaming site’s bow.

Bet Target logo

The presence of a sportsbook tends to be what separates the better Hopa Casino sister sites from the weaker ones, but some sites on the platform go further with the idea of being a sports site than others. With Bet Target, you wouldn’t even necessarily know that the site also offers casino games unless you went looking for them. It’s laid out like a traditional sports betting site, and to add to the sense of tradition, it places a lot of emphasis on horse racing and greyhound racing. You’ll find a dedicated area for both activities to the right of the Bet Target homepage, whereas the middle of the page generally showcases the latest football odds. If you see the full list of sports, though, you’ll see that Bet Target even goes as far as offering odds on floorball fixtures – and that’s a sport that most people aren’t even aware of the existence of.

Mr Play logo

We don’t think it’s controversial to suggest that Mr Play is the best of the AG Communications Limited casinos; we think that most of the Hopa Casino sister sites are aware that they’re behind Mr Play in the network’s pecking order, and we suspect that Mr Play’s owners are aware that they’re at the top of the tree, too. Having an identifiable motif helps when it comes to promoting a casino, and we suspect that most people reading this will be familiar with the moustache motif of Mr Play. This casino offers every kind of betting activity that AG Communications allows for in one place. That means it has every casino game the operator has access to, a live casino, instant-win scratch cards, and a sportsbook of its own. The cherry on the cake is the Mr Play welcome offer, which offers genuine value and reasonable terms.

Jackie Jackpot logo

We’re not one hundred per cent sure who the “Jackie” in Jackie Jackpot is, but if we had to guess, we’d say he’s probably the hipster-looking chap who appears on the casino’s promotional banner proudly waving the Union flag. The use of a hipster character as a mascot underlines the fact that Jackie Jackpot is a modern iGaming site, which isn’t something that can be said of all of the Hopa Casino sister sites. Many of the casinos on this platform look badly dated, and Hopa itself is one of them. Jackie Jackpot offers the full AG Communications allocation of slots and live casino games but doesn’t have a sportsbook or any of the additional features that make sites on this platform stand out. It’s perfectly fine for a run-of-the-mill casino site, though, and its biggest weakness is its low-value welcome promotion rather than its lack of sports betting facilities.

Heyspin logo

Based on what we’ve said so far about Hopa Casino sister sites that offer sports betting tending to be better than those that don’t, we’re tempted to describe HeySpin as an exception to the rule. HeySpin went through a revamp in late 2022, which gave it a new logo, new colours and an expanded sportsbook, but you’d never know it from looking at the site. Its style remains as dated as it was before the relaunch, and the addition of “Sportsbook & Casino” to its name doesn’t do anything to make it look prettier. HeySpin’s focus is split between slots and traditional casino games and its sports betting repertoire. There’s no live casino at HeySpin, which is odd as that tends to be a given for any site on the platform which offers sports betting. Without wanting to be rude, HeySpin comes across as somehow being less than the sum of its parts.

Slotsnplay logo

There’s no mystery about what Slots N Play is all about – the casino tells you in its unconventionally-spelt name. This is a place that offers plenty of slots, and it’s open for you to come ‘n play them. It’s a site that focuses on regular casino games – you won’t find any sports betting or anything non-casino related here, but the full AG Communications Limited live casino suite is available. The layout at Slots N Play is different from that of any of the other Hopa Casino sister sites. That would probably make the site stand out more if it didn’t dedicate all of the promotional space on its homepage to Gonzo’s Quest by NetEnt. It’s a popular series of slots games, but we’re not convinced it deserves promoting at the expense of the other 1000+ slots in the casino’s portfolio.

Play Luck Casino logo

The limitations of the generic AG Communications Limited design template mean that most of the Hopa Casino sister sites can only dream of using video content to promote their wares on their homepages. Nobody’s forcing anybody to use the template, though, and Playluck excels by going in a different direction. The looping video on the Playluck homepage showcases several of the best slots and games in the casino’s archive but replicates Slots N Play by spending quite a lot of time advertising Gonzo’s Quest. Starburst gets a lot of airtime in the short video, too, so NetEnt must be very fond of Playluck (or vice versa). Playluck is prepared to offer small deposit bonuses and free spins allocations on the first four deposits players make at the casino so long as the deposits are made quite close together, which may appeal to some of the regular spenders out there.

Hopa Casino operator – AG Communications Limited

ag communications casinos logo

There are a lot of sites like Hopa on the AG Communications Limited platform, but that’s almost inevitable given that the operator has over sixty active Hopa sister sites under its umbrella. It actually used to have more than ninety, but the white-label nature of most of the casinos it’s involved in the running of means that some don’t stay the course or survive. The white-label nature of the AG Communications Limited business isn’t the most interesting thing about the operator, though. Instead, the most interesting thing about AG Communications Limited is that it’s a front for Aspire Global. AG Communications is nothing but a trading style created specifically for the job of holding licences for the Aspire Global casinos that are available in the UK. Outside the UK, the casinos are covered by Aspire Global’s licence with the Malta Gaming Authority. Aspire Global even has a UKGC licence in its own name, so why it felt compelled to create another company and get a second one is beyond us.

AG Communications Limited was created in 2009, but that’s irrelevant given what we’ve just told you about the true nature of the operator. Aspire Global – which is the company that all of the casinos on this platform truly belong to – has been involved in the industry since 2005 and is based in Malta. The island nation is a hotbed for casino operators. While it’s not the biggest casino network company in Europe, Aspire Global has roughly three hundred salaried, full-time employees and has access to fourteen markets and territories for its products.

Hopa Sister Sites Welcome Bonuses

The welcome promotion for slots and casino players at Hopa looks very enticing at first glance, as it’s promoted as a matched deposit of up to £500 plus 100 free spins. Pay attention to the way the promotion is broken down, though; it’s a 50% matched deposit up to £50 on first deposits, 50% up to £200 on second deposits, and 50% up to £250 on third deposits. The free spins come as twenty on deposit one, plus twenty per day after the third deposit to make up the one hundred. In other words, a lot of spending is required to claim the full £500. All bonus funds are tied to an x35 wagering requirement, as are all bonus free spins winnings.

The sports betting welcome promotion is far less impressive, amounting to nothing more than a £10 free bet after £10 has already been deposited and wagered on any sporting matter with odds of 2.00 as a minimum.

Other Promotions

Hopa makes it look like it offers multiple promotions, but this isn’t actually true. A lot of the “promotions” at Hopa are tournaments. We refuse to class tournaments as promotions because there’s no way to ensure you’re going to win anything from them. Similarly, the “cash out” and “odds boost” features for sports betting aren’t really promotions either, as they’re standard features at dozens of sites that offer odds on sports. To make matters worse, there are no casino promotions save for the welcome bonus.

Top Games at Hopa

Hopa uses the AG Communications Limited standard design template – a design you may well have seen at multiple Hopa sister sites. All the casinos that use this template feature the same games in the same order on their homepages. That means Hopa leads with Book of Dead by Play’n Go – a legendary Egyptian-themed slots game that popularised the “Book Of” mechanic of random expanding symbols. It’s never explicitly stated, but we suspect the free spins from the welcome promotion are paired with Book of Dead. Secret of Dead, a sequel-of-sorts to Book of Dead from the same provider, is listed second on the Hopa homepage as of the time of writing. Expect to see nothing but hits and classics on the homepage of this site, from Wolf Gold to Fire Joker and Starburst to Gold Blitz.

Licensing and Customer Support

As with all AG Communications casinos, Hopa Casino is subject to the terms and conditions of UK Gambling Commission licence no. 39483, which belongs to AG Communications. The UKGC took action against AG Communications Limited in late 2022 after identifying that due diligence hadn’t been carried out on a number of the operator’s white-label business clients, for which AG Communications had to pay a fine of £237,600 and accept the imposition of further terms and conditions on its licence. Hopa operates no customer support beyond a contact form on its website, which is unacceptable in this day and age.

Withdrawal Speed and Support

All of the Hopa Casino sister sites tend to have the same quoted parameters when it comes to processing withdrawals, and those parameters are vague. The best chance players have of getting a withdrawal quickly is to use an e-wallet held specifically with one of Neteller, MuchBetter, Skrill or PayPal. Such withdrawals may be instant but shouldn’t take more than two days. Failing that, try Trustly or an ecoPayz or AstroPay e-wallet, which shouldn’t take more than four working days but could also be instant. Debit card withdrawals are quoted as taking between no days and six days, which is far too wide a window to be useful for planning. Wire or Interac transfers take between two and six business days.

Final Thoughts on Hopa

Hopa’s welcome promotion is one of the most generous on the entire AG Communications Limited platform if you have the capital to maximise it. Aside from that, the site is a letdown. It looks old, it doesn’t do a great job of showing off what it has to offer, and it offers unacceptably poor standards of customer service. Long waits for withdrawals are annoying, but they’re even more annoying when it’s impossible to speak to anybody about them.

Hopa Casino Sister Sites Player Reviews

Here are the thoughts of your fellow players about Hopa Casino. The reviews are all real, but we’ve paraphrased them to keep them brief.

I’ve got nothing but good things to say about my time at Hopa so far, but reading these other reviews scares me. It’s a shame people feel that way because there’s a lot of potential in this casino. Shane, January 6th 2023. Source Trustpilot.

I’ve been playing at Hopa Casino since last December, and I’m still waiting for winnings from that month. They want a bank statement with my IBAN and Swift number printed on it, but my bank doesn’t do this. Hopa won’t budge. Nobody should play on this site.Mary, January 5th 2023. Source – Trustpilot.

I wouldn’t recommend anybody to play at Hopa. They were happy for me to make deposits using my card but won’t put money back onto it unless I send statements and other information I’m not willing to give them. One to avoid.AS, December 29th 2022. Source – Trustpilot.

This casino is run by cowboys. All I wanted was a £30 withdrawal, for which they wanted ID. I uploaded a utility bill and a driving licence, but that wasn’t good enough. They asked for photos of my bank card, so I sent those, and then they asked me for a photo of myself holding the bank card. It’s been five days since then, and I still don’t have my money. They’re not trustworthy; stick to the professionals.Pete, November 29th 2022. Source – Trustpilot.

Hopa is a joke. I made the qualifying deposit for the welcome promotion but didn’t get the bonus. I’ve tried to get this sorted on chat three times, but it just keeps timing me out. I’m done wasting my time, and I’d advise others to stay away.Peter, November 28th 2022. Source Trustpilot.
