Katie’s Bingo has one of the most unusual themes you’re likely to find at an iGaming site, whether we’re talking about the network of Frozen Bingo sister sites or further afield. We have no idea who Katie is, but there’s a sketch of her on the homepage. She also turns up on several of the casino’s other pages and in its email address, where we learn that her surname is, apparently, Cooper. The site never makes any attempt to explain who she is or how she came to be the symbol of this bingo site, but it’s clear that the site went down well with fans and critics alike in the year of its release.

In the website’s header, you’ll find logos confirming that Katie’s Bingo was a WhichBingo awards finalist in 2017 and was named as the best new bingo site overall by BingoPort that same year. Those are surprising accolades for a site that has barely over two hundred games in total, most of which are slots rather than bingo rooms.

You might be familiar with the name “Majestic Bingo,” and the reasons why you’re familiar with the name might have nothing whatsoever to do with online casinos. This is a real-life bingo company, with Majestic Bingo clubs found in towns and cities the length and breadth of the country, from Barrow in Furness to Skegness, including Canvey Island and Rhyl. This website is its official online presence and is barely an online casino or bingo site at all.

Most of the space on the site is given over to providing information about the various clubs and the physical aspects of the business, including upcoming special events. Don’t let the fact that Love Hearts Bingo looks like it’s been dragged through a hedge full of love hearts put you off – look beyond its ugliness, and you might be delighted by what you find.

We’re all more than familiar with the legend of Robin Hood. We guess you could look at it as a no-frills casino site, but for quite a few players, Aloha Slots will feel too empty.

If you go straight from Aloha Slots to Velvet Slots, you’ll see just how much the aforementioned design template designs the look and feel of so many of the Frozen Bingo sister sites. There are only two differences between Aloha Slots and Velvet Slots; the name and the banner image on the homepage. In every other respect, the casinos are identical. It’s a story that begins with a decision made by the 888 Group – a company which Grand Battery Holdings has no connection to. 888 decided that it wanted to focus on sports betting and premium casino sites, so it put its entire portfolio of bingo sites and smaller casino sites up for sale. Several iGaming companies bid on the package, but the winning bid of £38m came from Broadway Gaming – an Irish company that already has bingo sites of its own. Some analysts were surprised by the figure, believing that the combined value of the 200+ sites ought to have been higher. Having secured the deal, Broadway Gaming had to decide what to do with the sites. It could have covered them with its existing UK Gambling Commission licence, but for unknown reasons, it didn’t do that. It decided to give birth to Grand Battery Holdings Limited instead.

Grand Battery Holdings Limited is, to all intents and purposes, an extension of Broadway Gaming. It even has the same registered address in Dublin and is treated like a trading style rather than an independent company. It does, however, have its own UK Gambling Commission licence, through which it covers all of the sites entrusted to it. The newly-formed company took ownership of those sites in February 2022. Given that it’s little more than a shell company, Grand Battery Holdings doesn’t have a business website or even much in the way of an identity. In fact, it doesn’t have a logo – we designed the one you can see on this page!

You won’t miss the Frozen Bingo welcome promotion – it’s one of the very few interesting things to look at on the site’s horribly dated homepage.
