Why Fafabet has such a small brand family

Taichi Tech only operates two iGaming sites. One of them is Fafabet. The other is the Irish version of Fafabet. The Irish version is essentially a clone of the UK-facing version but adjusted for the Irish market. As such, we can’t really make an argument that any Fafabet sister sites exist. The more useful answer is to separate that one close brand route from practical alternatives for sportsbook and casino players.

Taichi Tech Limited still holds active casino and betting permissions on licence account 57385, and the domain list records Fafabet.co.uk and Fafabet.ie as active. That does not mean either website is accepting customers: both currently show the same notice saying registrations, website access and app access stopped on 1 October 2025.

The honest sister-site answer is therefore narrow. Fafabet.ie is the only direct route, but it is the same brand and the same unavailable platform. Dafabet, Betway, Bet365 and 10Bet can be compared as alternatives, but none is operated by Taichi Tech.

The account also carries a 17 April 2025 regulatory action. The Commission imposed a £170,000 penalty and required an independent audit after fair-terms, AML, customer-interaction and marketing failings. Taichi Tech co-operated and took corrective steps.

Taichi Tech Limited was incorporated in March 2019 and is based in Reading. Public corporate information remains sparse, and Fafabet is its only recognisable gambling brand. That explains why there is no broad operator family to recommend.

The distinction between licence status and website status is important here. Taichi’s remote permissions remain active, but the consumer platform has been unavailable since October 2025. Fafabet is, by some considerable distance, better known as a sports betting site than it is as a casino site. The biggest catch is that you won’t receive the full value of the promotion unless you’re prepared to spend a little. Here’s how it breaks down:-

You’re probably wondering where the rest of the advertised value of the welcome promotion is, and that’s the nastiest catch of them all; you’ll only get it if your bet loses. If your first bets aren’t winners, fifty per cent of the value of the loss is refunded as a free bet of up to £50 plus a £20 casino bonus. In all cases, older terms said the casino bonus was subject to an x35 wagering requirement, which is above the current UK cap. We can tell that a lot of thought has been put into this promotion, but we can’t help but think it’s a little more complicated than it needs to be.

Other Promotions

Before website access ended, Fafabet carried several additional promotions, and you’ll be relieved to hear that all of them are easier to digest and comprehend than the welcome promotion. The biggest attraction among those former promotions was the Fafabet Club, which is a monthly bonus system that rewards players for their loyalty to the site. To demonstrate that loyalty, players need to place bets on at least three consecutive days during the month, spend at least £3,000 during the month, and to have received no more than £50 in casino bonuses via any other route during the month. If you can tick all of those boxes, you’ll receive a £50 free bet and a £50 casino bonus every month. Older terms listed the same x35 wagering requirement for casino bonuses at Fafabet. That is above the current UK cap, so check live terms before relying on the offer.

Players did not have to wait until the end of the month to get a small thank-you for your loyalty from Fafabet. Five per cent of all daily bets are handed back to players as a free bet the day after they’re placed, up to a maximum value of £10. Twenty-five per cent of all losses on sports bets are also handed back (with a maximum value of £25), and ten per cent of all casino losses up to £100.

The other former Fafabet promotions were smaller but are no less important when it comes to providing a good all-around package of promotions. Losing bets on 0-0 draws in football are refunded at a maximum of £20 per bet, there’s a free bet of up to £10 if the horse you bet on is beaten by a length, and if you back a tennis player who retires hurt from a match, your bet will again be refunded up to £20.

From looking at the above promotions, it’s more than obvious that sports betting is the cut and thrust of what Fafabet does. Even Fafabet itself wouldn’t disagree with being seen as a sports betting brand. As we said earlier, though, it would love to get more attention for its casino offerings. As such, we’ll look at the top three slots and games that Fafabet offered before access ended.

Xxxtreme Lightning Roulette: While this Evolution Gaming live roulette offering might sound like it ought to have something to do with adult movies, the only thing that’s adult about it is that it’s an iGaming product. If you’ve never played a lightning roulette game before, you’re probably wondering how it differs from regular roulette. Live chat support was available at Fafabet, but only for players who can successfully log in to their accounts. Fafabet is owned and operated by Taichi Tech Limited, which holds licence account 57385.

Fafabet’s Regulatory Sanction

Taichi Tech Limited’s licence hasn’t been entirely trouble-free. On 17 April 2025, following a review of the operating licence, the Commission found that the firm had breached its licence condition on fair and transparent terms and practices, along with its anti-money laundering and terrorist financing controls. Officials also identified failings around remote customer interaction, which covers the checks operators are required to run to spot signs of harmful play, plus a lapse in its marketing compliance.

Taichi Tech co-operated with the Commission throughout the review and had already begun correcting the identified failings by the time it concluded. Even so, the Commission attached a new condition to the operating licence requiring an independent third-party audit of the firm’s anti-money laundering and social responsibility controls within 12 months, and imposed a financial penalty of £170,000. Withdrawal Speed and Support

Before website access ended, Fafabet did not publish a banking page, and the general information it offers about withdrawals is too vague for our liking. We’ve noted the presence of the logos of Maestro, Mastercard and Visa in the footer of the website, so we know debit cards are accepted. The wording of the all-too-brief Fafabet FAQ makes it sound like you can add either a Skrill or Neteller e-wallet to your account along with a debit card, but there’s no mention of PayPal or any other payment method. Withdrawal requests may take up to 24 hours to be processed, after which a banking delay of 2-5 days may occur. In short, don’t hold your breath in the hope of instant cash.

Final Thoughts on Fafabet

Fafabet’s former sportsbook was a long and impressive list, starting with alpine skiing and ending with water polo. Everything you want to be covered is covered, and there are plenty of promotions to add a little extra spice to your wagers. The casino felt like a work in progress, but it contains plenty of new releases. Where Fafabet failed to meet the mark is with its customer service and withdrawal processes, which are both things that the brand needs to work on if it wants to become a truly top player.

Fafabet player reviews: the evidence in context

Trustpilot currently shows Fafabet at 1.5/5 from 412 reviews. The profile is claimed, but the company has not recently invited reviews or replied to negative feedback. That means the sample may lean towards disputes, yet it is far broader than the five comments previously summarised here.

Recurring complaints: delayed or refused withdrawals, repeated verification requests, suspended accounts, voided winnings and ineffective support. Several reviewers say they escalated disputes to IBAS; these are individual accounts rather than proven findings in every case.

Counterweight: some older reviews report successful withdrawals or eventual payment after verification, and older hands-on bookmaker reviews found a broad sportsbook and functional casino. Those positives describe the former product, not the current availability.

The strongest independent evidence is the April 2025 regulatory action, which confirmed failings around fair terms, AML controls, customer interaction and marketing. It does not prove every player allegation, but it gives the complaint pattern more weight than an ordinary low review score.
