Costa Bingo sister sites 2023

Mint Bingo logo

The status of Costa Bingo as one of the most popular bingo sites on the Grand Battery Holdings Limited network can’t be disputed. It is, however, a little surprising when you consider how much better-looking than Costa Bingo the majority of the Costa Bingo sister sites are. As a case in point, here’s Mint Bingo, which is in with a shout of being the best-looking of them all. This is a wide-focus iGaming site, which despite its name, is as interested in serving you with the latest and greatest online slots as it is in serving you great bingo rooms. None of the bingo rooms at Mint Bingo are exclusive to the site, but you won’t see them presented any better anywhere else in the range. Every iGaming site has its weaknesses, though, and the weakness at Mint Bingo is its comparatively small and stingy welcome promotion.

Two Fat Ladies logo

Grand Battery Holdings hasn’t kept all of the Costa Bingo sister sites it bought from the 888 Group operational. It’s closed quite a few of them down, and the reasons why it’s shut them down aren’t always clear. We guess it has something to do with how many visitors or players they receive each week or perhaps their viability as a long-term brand. With that in mind, we’re surprised that Two Fat Ladies has avoided the axe thus far – it’s hardly the most politically correct of terms. We guess it’s managed to stick it out because it was already popular with players when the deal was done, and the term “Two Fat Ladies” is still associated with bingo, no matter how much some people might try to scrub the term out. We’re too polite to call the ladies on the homepage of this iGaming site “fat,” but they do a good job of selling the theme.

Cherry Wins logo

The Costa Bingo sister sites are mostly also bingo sites – but there’s an emphasis there on the word “mostly.” Some of them would be better described as slots or casino sites, and Cherry Wins is one of them. If you’ve been around the world of casinos for a while, you’ll know what to expect from a site with a name like this. The cherry is a symbol that comes from the classic days of slots, and so it stands to reason that Cherry Wins will be a classic, traditional slots site. That perception isn’t far wrong. It’s a straight-to-the-point casino with approximately five hundred games to offer – all of which are slots – and a reasonable welcome promotion. There are no promotions at Cherry Wins beyond the welcome promotion, though. It’s perfectly possible to have fun at Cherry Wins, but there’s nothing at the casino to persuade you to stick around.

Vegas Spins logo

Vegas Spins claims to be the casino site that allows players to “hit the strip from home,” but it takes more than that to establish an authentic Las Vegas theme at an online casino. This is the most over-used theme in all of iGaming, with hundreds of iterations out there. The only attempt that Vegas Spins makes at theming is to have the word “Vegas” spelt out in a spotlight-like font. It’s better than nothing, but it’s hardly immersive. Can Vegas Spins make up for it in other ways? Well, it puts as many as 777 free spins on Starburst up for grabs as part of its welcome promotion, but there’s no guaranteed way of winning it. Perhaps the true appeal of Vegas Spins is in the oddities that it offers – bingo roulette, for example. That’s not something you’ll find at too many other Costa Bingo sister sites.

Health Games logo

We’re not sure that Health Games is the iGaming site that it once was. When it was first conceived, it was supposed to be a partner site for the Health Lottery, which is one of the biggest lottery games in the UK. The issue is that Health Games has switched networks since then, whereas the Health Lottery is still run by the same people. The link between the lottery and the website is broken. Now that Health Games is one of the Costa Bingo sister sites, does it still give any money to charity? Based on all the information we can find, the answer to that question is “yes” – but only a proportion of first deposits. Still, that’s better than nothing. The website offers slots, bingo games and Slingo, but there’s an absence of live casino and dealer action to be had.

Pick me up Bingo logo

You don’t even need to have bought a copy of Pick Me Up to understand what Pick Me Up is – the cover of the celebrity-obsessed magazine stares out at you from the magazine rack every time you visit Tesco, Sainsbury’s or your shop of choice. The official Pick Me Up branding will either be at the core of the appeal of this bingo site if you like what the magazine does, or it could be a reason to give it a wide berth if you’re not a fan. There are a few Costa Bingo sister sites with similar licences – you’ll also find the official bingo and casino sites of Chat Mag and Woman Magazine on the Grand Battery Holdings Limited platform. In each case, they’re surprisingly weak when it comes to promotions. In fact, the x85 wagering requirement that Pick Me Up Bingo imposes against its welcome promotion might be a reason to skip it even if you love the magazine.

Bingo Ireland logo

When we were talking about Vegas Spins, we said the Las Vegas theme is the most over-used in all of iGaming. Bingo Ireland is an invitation for us to reconsider that statement, as the Irish theme is every bit as omnipresent. Having said that, most sites that use it do a better job with it than Bingo Ireland. It’s like the designers thought that the name and a hint of green would be enough to establish the theme, which it isn’t. See if you can spot the issue with Bingo Ireland’s welcome promotion – it’s a matched deposit slots bonus plus 150 free spins. That’s right – it’s all to do with slots and nothing to do with bingo. It’s not the only one of the Costa Bingo sister sites that’s guilty of picking the wrong focus, but it feels worse at Bingo Ireland because the rest of the site looks so plain and uninteresting.

Costa Bingo operator – Grand Battery Holdings Limited

grand battery casinos logo

Grand Battery Holdings Limited has taken the UK casino industry by storm in next to no time by announcing its presence with an impressive portfolio of over 200 sites operating under its UKGC licence, all of which were formerly owned by the 888 Group. The company was established in 2022 after 888 made the decision to stop offering bingo on its platform and focus on sports betting and its self-titled casino brands, leading to the sale of more than 200 iGaming sites. The sale was hotly contested, with Dublin-based Broadway Gaming ultimately emerging victorious, acquiring the package for a substantial £38m. The price raised eyebrows, with many analysts believing the sites to be worth more. Despite winning the bid, Broadway Gaming chose not to associate the sites with its name or UK Gambling Commission licence. Instead, it established Grand Battery Holdings Limited as the new custodian of these assets.

Grand Battery Holdings Limited is a unique casino network company in that it was established solely to acquire a UK Gambling Commission licence and take over as the new hosting company for all of Broadway’s former 888 Group sites. As an extension of Broadway Gaming, the company does not have a recognisable identity of its own. It officially assumed control of all the acquired sites in February 2022, but it does not exist independently of the company behind it. As an example, Grand Battery Holdings Limited lacks its own office or registered address, as it shares the same offices as Broadway Gaming. Additionally, the company has no employees, website, or business logo. The logo displayed above was created by us simply for the sake of having one. Grand Battery Holdings Limited is entirely dependent on Broadway Gaming, operating under its umbrella as a vital component of its expansive network.

Costa Bingo Sister Sites Welcome Bonuses

In keeping with its status as one of the top bingo sites on this platform, Costa Bingo offers all new players a 300% matched first deposit bingo bonus. The lowest qualifying deposit is £10, and the bonus is capped at £200. Thirty free spins in the Chitty Bang slots game are thrown in as part of the bargain. The associated wagering requirements for this promotion are x2 if the bonus is spent on bingo or x30 if it’s spent on slots. Either way, that’s fair and reasonable.

Other Promotions

Costa Bingo offers a unique loyalty reward system that grants players “Coins” for their continued patronage. These Coins are earned at a rate of one for every £1 spent playing bingo or one for every £10 spent playing “instant” games (slots). Players may redeem these Coins at the Costa Bingo reward shop for a variety of perks, including free spins and bingo tickets, just so long as they have the “Coins” to pay for their purchases. While some of the Costa Bingo sister sites also offer cashback, free spins or other promotions, there’s nothing beyond the welcome promotion and the “Coins” system at this site.

Top Games at Costa Bingo

The Costa Bingo homepage spends so much time extolling the virtues of the site, including the fact that it’s been advertised on television (a long time ago now) that it almost forgets to list the best of its games. You have to scroll about halfway down the page to find them, but when you do, you’ll find that bingo games take precedence. That ought to be a given on a site called “Costa Bingo,” but you can never be sure of that on the Grand Battery Holdings platform. The Mystery Jackpot room, with its promise of a “surprise ” jackpot every game, is one of Costa Bingo’s most popular, but other rooms that attract plenty of attention include “The Yoyo” and “Bingo Academy.” That’s a great place to get started if you’re new to online bingo.

Customer Support and Licensing

Costa Bingo’s customer support options are limited, as live chat assistance is not available outside the bingo rooms. However, players can get in touch with the site’s support team via telephone using the toll-free number 0808 238 9881. The only other available method is to send an email to support@costabingo.com. Costa Bingo operates under UK Gambling Commission licence 58267, which belongs to Grand Battery Holdings Limited. The licence was granted in February 2022, and it has not incurred any penalties or fines thus far.

Withdrawal Speed and Support

Costa Bingo’s withdrawal system is both outdated and limited. Currently, players can only withdraw funds through UK-registered debit cards or into a PayPal e-wallet. Each withdrawal request requires a compulsory two-day processing time, with PayPal withdrawals taking an additional 2-3 business days to process, while debit card withdrawals could take up to 5 business days to complete. As a result, players may have to wait for over a week to access their funds, which is considered too long in a time when instant withdrawals are becoming the norm elsewhere.

Final Thoughts on Costa Bingo

Are Costa Bingo’s best days behind it? Perhaps so. It used to be a big deal, but it’s years behind the times in terms of its appearance, and its painfully slow withdrawals reduce its appeal further. The bingo rooms are fun, and the bonuses are fair, but that might not be enough to ensure that players continue to visit this sunny bingo site as frequently as they did in the past.
