Zodiac Casino sister sites 2023

Yukon Gold Casino logo

You’ll find the Yukon Peninsula in Canada, where it contains several beautiful mountains. You don’t have to go to Canada to see it, though – there’s a stunning view of it in the backdrop of Yukon Gold Casino. Why Apollo Entertainment Limited chose to ruin that stunning view by overlaying a completely out-of-place looking guy in a bomber jacket and some kind of monster character made of rock is anybody’s guess, but strange design choices are a recurring theme across the Zodiac Casino sister sites.

Another recurring theme at casinos on this platform is that they have bad welcome promotions. The promotion at Yukon Gold Casino might not look bad at first – it’s 125 free spins in return for a first deposit of just £10 – but look at the wagering requirement levied against anything you might win from those spins. It’s x200. It’s impossibly high, and yet the same requirement is imposed on every bonus package at every single one of the Zodiac Casino sister sites.

UK Casino Club logo

Should a casino company that’s wholly based in Malta be launching casino sites that use the UK flag as a marketing tool? Possibly not, but that’s not a big deal. There are plenty of casino operators based in Malta that pretend to be British for the sake of attracting players, and UK Casino Club isn’t even one of the best-known of them. The big deal about UK Casino Club is that it claims to be one of the most prestigious casino sites available in the UK while simultaneously slapping an x200 wagering requirement on the proceeds of its welcome promotion.

Up to £700 in bonus funds sounds like an incredibly warm welcome to the casino until you see the terms and conditions that apply to the bonus, after which it no longer holds any appeal. Still, UK Casino Club manages not to be the worst of the Zodiac Casino sister sites for the pure and simple reason that it has a theme. Some of them can’t even manage that.

Villento Casino logo

We’re not especially big fans of any of the Zodiac Casino sister sites because we think the terms and conditions of the bonuses that Apollo Entertainment Limited offers at the sites aren’t fair to players. If we had to pick our least favourite of them, though, we’d probably lean towards Villento Casino. This is an iGaming site that lacks any kind of meaningful identity other than “it’s red.” Even the word “Villento” is meaningless – it sounds like it should translate from some other language to mean something impressive, but it doesn’t.

With no other means of selling itself, Villento Casino relies heavily upon its £1000 matched deposit welcome promotion in the hope that players will be attracted to the casino that way. You can probably guess what’s coming next, though – the bonus is a smokescreen. Even if you spend the significant sum of money that’s required to unlock the full bonus, you’ll never be able to turn it into real cash because you’ll never conquer the wagering requirements. Short of a miracle, nobody ever could.

Luxury Casino logo

We’re going to assume that you’re an experienced online casino player because it’s unlikely that you’d be here looking for Zodiac Casino sister sites if you weren’t. Experienced players know what luxury online casino sites look and feel like. About ten years ago, it would be fair to say that they looked and felt like Luxury Casino does. The black-and-white look was in vogue, and competitive wagering requirements weren’t really a thing back then. Ten years is a long time, though, and the goalposts have moved.

Luxury casinos in the 2020s offer excellent VIP rewards, highly attractive welcome promotions, and enormous libraries of slots and games. Luxury Casino does none of those things, so despite its name, it’s not a Luxury Casino. In fact, at its core, it’s the same casino site we’ve already seen at Villento Casino, UK Casino Club and Yukon Gold Casino (not to mention Zodiac Casino) – it’s just been dressed up a little to make it look better than it is.

Grand Mondial logo

Grand Mondial Casino looks a little better than the average member of the Zodiac Casino sister sites family purely because of its presentation. It relies on real people to bring its homepage to life. Specifically, it shows a happy scene of a woman who’s won an enormous jackpot at Grand Mondial Casino, receiving her winnings by way of the kind of comically oversized cheque that’s usually reserved for people who’ve won the National Lottery. There are a couple of red flags here for players in the UK, though.

The first is that the cash prize is listed in dollars rather than pounds, which heavily suggests that the UK market isn’t really what Grand Mondial is focused on. The second is the date on the cheque. It’s November 15th 2017. It’s the minimum we expect of any online casino worth its salt to keep its homepage up to date, but Grand Mondial doesn’t appear to have done anything with its homepage during the current decade. It’s off-putting, which is a shame, as this would otherwise be one of the more attractive casinos on the platform.

Quatro Casino logo

While we were talking about Grand Mondial, we said it doesn’t feel like the UK is the focus of the casino’s attention. We could say the same about some – or possibly even all – of the other Zodiac Casino sister sites. Quatro Casino is an excellent example. If you load the Quatro Casino website and scroll about halfway down it, you’ll find a side-scrolling list of people who’ve recently had big wins at the casino.

Most of the cash amounts that scroll by are listed in Euros. A few of them are listed in Canadian dollars. Some of them – and don’t ask us how this works because online gambling is illegal in most of the USA – are listed in US dollars. You’ll seldom see the familiar logo for pounds sterling scrolling by, which we think is a reflection of how few UK-based players use Quatro Casino. UK players are a savvy bunch, and most of them know better than to play at casinos that try to lock up their welcome promotions with ridiculous wagering requirements.

Zodiac Casino operator – Apollo Entertainment Limited

apollo entertainment casinos logo

Apollo Entertainment Limited has been in business since 2008. During that time, it’s released just under thirty casino sites to the UK market. It’s possible that more Apollo Entertainment Limited casinos are available outside the UK; that’s not something we’re able to verify. Beyond that, nothing about this operator is unknown. When casino network companies have a large presence in the UK market, it’s normal for them to have websites so players can perform diligence checks on them before spending money. Apollo Entertainment Limited doesn’t even have any social media accounts, let alone a website. Its accounts have never been published, and nor does the operator seem to have made any public statements. It would appear that this is a company that’s committed itself to “silent running.”

Even though Apollo Entertainment Limited appears to have gone to great pains to stop players from finding anything out about the company, there are certain things that can’t be hidden. We know for a fact that the headquarters of Apollo Entertainment Limited is in Malta, for example. That’s a popular choice of location for casino network companies, as the tax arrangements the island’s government offers are favourable. We also know for a fact that Apollo Entertainment Limited holds a current and valid Malta Gaming Authority licence. It’s not as prestigious a licence as the one it holds with the UK Gambling Commission, but it allows Apollo Entertainment to operate in other overseas territories. Based on the content of the company’s casinos, we feel like those territories are a bigger priority to the company than the UK marketplace is.

Zodiac Casino Sister Sites Welcome Bonuses

Most of the Zodiac Casino sister sites offer matched deposit funds as welcome bonuses. You’ll know we’re not a fan of the terms and conditions that Apollo Entertainment Limited attached to those bonuses if you’ve read our thoughts on those sister sites above. Zodiac Casino itself does something a little different. For the reasonable price of a £10 deposit, you can claim eighty free spins on Microgaming’s Mega Moolah as a new player. The slot is legendary for its seven-figure jackpots, so eighty cracks at the big prize sounds great. The catch here is that the same x200 wagering requirement still applies to anything you might be fortunate enough to win from your free spins. Imagine how impossible it would be to clear that if you were lucky enough to win £1m. Bonuses with terms like this attached to them aren’t incentives – they’re the polar opposite.

Other Promotions

Aside from the free spins welcome promotion, Zodiac Casino also offers up to £480 in matched deposit bonuses across the next four deposits a new player makes. It’s more of an extension of the welcome promotion than an additional promotion, but it still means that the bonuses at this casino are more comprehensive than those you’ll find at most of the Zodiac Casino sister sites. Again, though, all bonuses must be wagered x200, which is the same as saying all bonuses will never find their way to your pocket. To make matters worse, there’s no way of opting out of the welcome promotion – you have to tick a box to accept it, or the casino won’t let you register an account.

Top Games at Zodiac Casino

The games at Zodiac Casino come from one of two places. They either come from Microgaming, or they were developed in-house by a team connected to Apollo Entertainment Limited. That means the games portfolios of the casinos on this network are a little limited. Zodiac Casino showcases the top slots at the casino about a third of the way down its homepage, though, and they start with Mega Moolah. That’s not surprising, as the famous “millionaire maker” is the game that’s attached to the primary Zodiac Casino welcome promotion. Immortal Romance, which is arguably the most famous casino game Microgaming has ever made and comes with an engrossing vampire theme, is also prominently featured. 9 Masks of Fire enjoys a prominent position on the homepage, too, which indicates that some of the Microgaming partner studios, like Gameburger Studios, have submitted games to the collection.

Customer Support and Licensing

Zodiac Casino offers player support 24/7 through live chat. You’ll find the link through the “contact us” link at the top of the casino’s homepage. There could be a wait before agents become available to deal with your query, though. If you don’t need an instant response and you’re happy to wait, you could email support@crhelpdesk.com instead. Zodiac Casino tries to reply to all emails within two business days. The casino is covered via the licence that Apollo Entertainment Limited holds with the UK Gambling Commission, which is no. 38620.

Withdrawal Speed and Support

One of the recurring problems we’ve found with the Zodiac Casino sister sites is that they don’t tell you anything about their payment or withdrawal policies. We’re afraid to say that Zodiac Casino is no better. The casino lacks an FAQ page or a payments page, so there’s nowhere to go looking for the relevant information. Even the full Zodiac Casino terms and conditions are of no use, as there isn’t any specific information about withdrawals in there either. It’s probably safe to assume that your usual debit card or e-wallet will work at Zodiac Casino, but who’s to say how long you’ll be waiting for your money after requesting a withdrawal?

Final Thoughts on Zodiac Casino

The Zodiac Casino sister sites don’t offer good value to players, and Zodiac Casino isn’t an exception to the rule. Until Apollo Entertainment Limited stops whacking players with blatantly absurd wagering requirements, we won’t feel comfortable recommending any of its sites to players. Even then, we’d want to see full disclosure of the deposit and withdrawal process as the operator’s sites before changing our stance.
