JA Sportsbook casinos

JA Sportsbook Limited formerly ran JAbet, a tennis-focused betting site. Its UK permissions ended in December 2023 and the company is now in liquidation. The old brand had no separate UK sister casinos. Its history is rooted in sports pricing and trading, rather than a network of online slots sites.

JA Sportsbook Limited Information

JAbet’s former UK operator
JA Sportsbook Limited was the company behind JAbet, a specialist tennis bookmaker. JAbet was its customer-facing brand, not a separate company in a family of sister casinos. The operator’s domain record contains one address, www.jabet.com, now marked inactive. There is no active UK casino network under this licence.
A tennis business with its own pricing technology
In a September 2016 company announcement, JAbet said it had started trading in March 2015, initially serving higher-staking customers. Tennis was its speciality. It offered in-play markets and later added bets before matches began, with next-game-winner markets among the products it highlighted.
JAbet described a model allowing both back and lay bets without commission. Backing a player means betting on that player to win; laying the player means taking the opposite side. The company also described stake-sensitive pricing, so the size of a proposed bet could affect the price offered. These were features of the former service, not terms available from a current UK account.
The same announcement identified JAS Information Systems as its technology sister company, supplying tennis odds and risk-management services to other bookmakers. That business relationship explains references to a JAbet sister company in older coverage. A supplier of betting technology is different from another consumer casino where players can register. Its 2016 plans included an expansion into football the following year.
What the original JAbet site looked like
The historical screenshot above shows the product’s tennis focus: competitions run down the left, with in-play and match markets in the centre. Back and lay prices sit beside the players’ names, while a social feed occupies the right-hand column. The sparse market layout is quite different from a casino homepage filled with slot thumbnails. Its visible 2022 competitions and sign-up button belong to the old service and do not indicate that registration remains open.
Licence surrender and the company’s winding up
The Gambling Commission’s JA Sportsbook record shows two remote permissions: gambling software and betting on real events. Both ran from 5 December 2014 to 5 December 2023 and are marked surrendered. There is no casino permission in that summary. The licence end date establishes when those permissions ended; it does not, on its own, establish the last day a customer placed a bet.
Companies House records JA Sportsbook Limited’s incorporation on 1 October 2013 and lists its status as liquidation. Its filing history includes a resolution to wind up dated 23 January 2025, an appointment of a voluntary liquidator and a declaration of solvency. These are later corporate events, separate from the December 2023 licence surrender. The declaration of solvency is also a reason not to describe the winding up simply as a bankruptcy.
Identifying an old JAbet account
For an old payment or account query, the useful identifiers are JA Sportsbook Limited, company number 08713946 and the original jabet.com address. Compare them with the operator named on your statements or correspondence. A similarly named website is not evidence that the old account, balance or customer relationship moved there. The former licence also does not establish who controls the domain today.
The JAbet page covers the historical brand, while the casino operator directory groups other businesses separately. There is no current UK sister-site account to open through JA Sportsbook’s surrendered licence.
